Batch Tasks

  • Fixed rare errors when running the Analyze Files and Apply PerfectMatch batch tasks with a server-based translation memory.
  • The update TM logic was enhanced such that the Update Main Translation Memory batch task is now overwriting fields when the target segment differ and the Overwrite option is selected. Previously, the field contents were merged.

PerfectMatch

  • Enhanced PerfectMatch behaviour such that it can now be applied when two files contain different formatting tags inserted in target. The Internal error: Multiple tags with the same ID 'pm0' have different start tag properties error no longer occurs in these cases.

In case there are no settings predefined, individual users will be able to connect manually to the desired license server. In this case, the settings will be stored in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER branch of the Registry for each individual user.
  • Fixed the following nine Integration API methods from causing 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object' errors: GetCommentsFromSegment, AddCommentOnSegment, UpdateCommentOnSegment, DeleteCommentOnSegment,DeleteAllCommentsOnSegment, ChangeConfirmationLevelOnSegment, ChangeTranslationOriginOnSegment, UpdateSegmentPairProperties, UpdateSegmentPair. These methods have been added with an ISegmentPair parameter to identify the segment to be used. The corresponding method calls previuosly available have been marked as deprecated.

    • Corrected an issue where the real-time preview ignored resources added in the file type options.
    • Fixed issue where a non-breaking space character entity was not recognized in Studio under the form of Numeric Entity Reference.
    • Fixed issue where entity conversion of HTML5 was not working correctly on Japanese OS.
    • Fixed issue in the HTML 5 Embedded Content Processor where &nbsp; entities were not correctly processed.
    • Fixed issue in the HTML 4 Embedded Content Processor: where the embedded content processor escapes ampersands(&) when entity conversion was activated. (e.g. ‘ä’ became &amp;&auml; instead of just &auml;).

  • Fixed the error 'The language code 'XX-XX' is not supported on this system'. This error no longer shows up when adding termbases to Studio projects, including termbases for Norwegian (Bokmal) and other sublanguages.
  • Fixed a problem with Term Recognition, Term Verifier and Termbase Search. These options now work correctly for all sublanguages, including Norwegian (Bokmal).
  • Fixed the error 'Value cannot be null. Parameter name: key'. This error no longer shows up when adding a termbase from a UNC path (servershare).
  • Enhanced background synchronisation for GroupShare projects.This ensures that the Studio Editor does not block under certain circumstances.

Download area

A service release or cumulative update is automatically applied when you use the AutoUpdate functionality available in SDL Trados Studio. AutoUpdate is turned on by default, so you will automatically be notified of the update as soon as it is available. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and apply the update.

NOTE: Applying the update may take some time, as the SDL Trados Studio installation is analysed before the update to ensure the patch can be installed successfully. As a rule of thumb, applying the patch will take roughly the same time as installing the application. SDL recommends that you use AutoUpdate. However, you can also apply the patch manually, as follows:

  1. Close SDL Trados Studio 2015 SR2.
  2. Download the (for you relevant) ZIP file

  3. Extract the files to a temporary folder of your choice, such as C:temp. The ZIP file applies to all editions of SDL Trados Studio 2015 SR2.
  4. Double-click the *.msp files. This will install the latest release and update the files in the SDL Trados Studio 2015 SR2 installation folder as appropriate.

After the update release has been installed and Studio restarted, the issues described in this article should no longer occur.
